Now that the SLS is out of production, it makes sense for the corporate flag-flying to be done by the newest model in the Affalterbach stable. The AMG GT.
I love it. I can’t wait to see it here at the Nürburgring.
EDIT: Since I got these photos I’ve learned two things. Firstly, the car won’t be available to customer teams until 2016. That kinda sucks. Secondly, the engine will continue to be the 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8. The engine that’s being phased out of all the road cars. Why no twin-turbo to challenge the Bentley and GTR? It’s not like the AMG GT (or C63) don’t sound awesome enough. I think GT racing should represent the road-cars a little better, and that means using the 4.0-litre turbo V8. Just my two cents…
